with exempt Financial Advisors status. The company provides General
and Life Insurance broking, consultancy and training services to
individuals
and corporate organisations in the Asia Pacific region, using Singapore
as its regional base. Galaxy’s experience in the
field of MEDICAL, TRAVEL
and EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Insurance programmes have been utilized
extensively in developing special group schemes for member companies
and organisations which come under the umbrella of the Singapore Indian
Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Council of Social
Service [the coordinating body of the social and voluntary organisations
in Singapore].
One recent area of development
has been the arrangement of a special ASSOCIATION LIABILITY [a
combined
Professional Indemnity and Directors & officers policy]
Insurance
programme available to all voluntary welfare organisations in Singapore.
Other LIABILITY
policies available include Directors & Officers Liability,
Professional
Indemnity, Medical Malpractice and Clinical trials Insurance. For its General Insurance portfolio it works with clients to provide a full range of BUSINESS, RETAIL, HOME, MOTOR
and other personal insurance On the LIFE INSURANCE
side, apart from the usual Term Life, Whole Life, Endowment assurance
policies, Galaxy is now arranging UNIVERSAL LIFE [jumbo] policies
for High Net Worth clients. This is an area that has been the focus
of our Life Insurance related activities. Galaxy is spearheaded by their
Managing Director, UTTAM PRITAMDAS KRIPALANI, who has nearly
50 years of insurance experience, having worked in Europe, India and
South East Asia. He was responsible for the
setting
up and development of Galaxy Underwriting Agency Pte Ltd, between 1983
and 2005. This company previously operated very successfully as
authorised
underwriting agents of MSIG General Insurance Pte Ltd, Singapore
[formerly
known as Aviva General Insurance Pte Ltd] He also lectures at the
Singapore
College of Insurance and is a regular speaker at Rotary Clubs and other
organisations. LAXMI UTTAM KRIPALANI
AND MALLIKA KRIPALANI are Directors who work closely with the
Managing Director. The Directors are very ably
assisted by the Galaxy team made up of the following: JOSEPHINE NG,
Manager Over 23 years experience with
Galaxy, she oversees the co-ordination of the successful interaction with
the clients and underwriters/Insurers and the provision of suitable Insurance policies. She is an Associate of the
Insurance
Institute of Australia and New Zealand. DOROTHY PEH.
Senior Executive Supervises and manages the
accounts
of the organisation and the handling of Medical and other
Employee-related
claims. She has been part of the Galaxy team for 23 years. Theresa Teo,
Executive Works closely with the Manager
in liaising with the clients and underwriters/insurers and has been involved with the
Galaxy team for 17 years. Malihah binte Talib,
Administrative Assistant Joined Galaxy three years ago
and assists with the Group Employee Benefits medical claims and general
activities in the office. Our Life
Insurance and Individual Medical requirements are
handled
by SUNIL CHUGANI, Life representative/Consultant, has been assisting the Managing Director with the development of the Life Insurance and Individual medical insurance portfolio. He is a Fellow Chartered Financial Practitioner, has a Diploma in Banking & Financial Management [Insurance specialization] and has completed the B.Sc. [Finance] course from UNISIM, Singapore. |
